Disneyworld Sneak Peak

Here's a pic of the 55 foot Christmas tree! that was in the lobby of the Wilderness Lodge where we stayed. I cried when we left. I did not want to leave. We will go back again soon, Brook says.

Raking Leaves

Vito helped us rake leaves last weekend. He had such a good time.

He didn't want to get in his crate.

Dancing Again and Turkey

Well, last night was my first night back to dance class since my foot surgery. Other than a few times I landed too hard on my foot, I survived. I figure it will be awhile before I am 100% on it again. It still feels numb and it's also swollen. Oh well! I'm also extremely sore today due to the fact I haven't done the splits or leaps since May! I'm really happy to be back even if all of the others girls are ten thousand times better than me. :)

I thought this old school pic of tap dancers was cute!

This is what I wished my leaps looked like...

On another note, I've volunteered to have Thanksgiving at my house this year! I'm very excited. This will be my first attempt at cooking a Turkey. Does anyone have any helpful suggestions or tips? My grandma made some awesome jiblit gravy when she was around. I'd love to attempt that, as well.

Oliver on TV

One of the reporters where I work did a Halloween story and filmed our fat, black cat, Oliver. We weren't home when they filmed him, but our friend Lucas was at our house and said that Oliver didn't like the camera. He apparently ran to hide under the bed and wouldn't come out. Here's a link to the news story. He's near the end. Oliver, you're on tv!!!!

Here's a pic of Oliver before he put on the pounds! :)

Skulls and Bones

Halloween is a pretty big deal at our house. Brook especially loves decorating our house. He has spent a lot of time in the garage for the past couple of weeks. This year, he added a new project to his list. He made these hanging cages. He ordered the skulls and bones from Oriental Trading Co. They have awesome deals, by the way. He makes scary heads too. He buys them from Sally Beauty Supply and uses spray paint to make them look really creepy. Then he puts them on stakes. It looks really scary at night. Brook bought some red and green flood lights for extra creepy effect.

Two Years

Today is mine and Brook's 2 year anniversary. I'm so happy and blessed to have him as my husband and best friend. He puts up with a lot from me. :o) I love you so much, Brook! I can't wait for many, many, many more years together!!!

New Monkey

When I got home last Saturday, Vito surprised me with his new monkey.

Here's an old pic of what it used to look like.

Here's a comparison of his old and new monkey. We haven't thrown the old one out yet, even though Vito's completely forgot about him and is constantly carrying around his new one.

Brook's friend, Lucas, has moved back to Fayetteville. He came over to our house and hung out on Sunday and last night too. He helped me with dinner last night and made some really good pork chops. We're happy you're home, Lucas! Here are a couple of pics from our trip to visit him when he lived in Oregon...

New Do and Monkey Brains

This weekend, I went to Ft. Smith and got my hair did. This was my inspiration picture... I hope I resemble Reese a little bit now, because I think she's absolutely beautiful.

On another note, Vito's favorite toy is about to die. I bought him a monkey before we even got him. Besides his duck, the monkey is his ABSOLUTE FAVORITE!! Over the past couple of months, the monkey has slowly started losing body parts. Actually, let me back up. The monkey mysteriously lost his stomach stuffing and squeaker months ago. His mouth also came unraveled. Most recently, he has lost both arms and his tail. Now, he's starting to lose his brains! Poor little monkey! He's literally been loved to death. Here are some pics I took with my phone. Sorry for the poor quality.

David Garrett Concert

This Tuesday, my SIL, Tara, and I went to the Walton Arts Center to listen to David Garrett. He's a phenomenal violinist! I can't quite put into words how great he is. I was literally moved to tears during some of his songs. Here's a quote from his website:

“David Garrett is already the stuff of legend – in him is enshrined an entire corpus of virtuoso violin art, expounded with a fearsome beauty beyond comprehension.” BBC Music Magazine

Tara and I tried to buy his cd at intermission, but they were already sold out! We both ordered one when we got home. If you are into awesome violin-playing, check him out. Here's a link to his website: http://www.david-garrett.com/US/

First Razorback Game

This past weekend, we went to Little Rock for the first Razorback game. We stayed at Rachel's parents' house, which we like to refer to as "The Byrd House." The have an awesome new screened in porch where we spent the majority of our time while we were there. Thanks, Bryan and Debbie, for the tickets and hospitality! Here are a couple of pics Brook took with his phone...

Gone Fishin'

Last weekend, we traveled to the big city of Cotter, AR for some trout fishing. We also celebrated Brook's 31st birthday. It was so beautiful there and we caught tons of trout. We stayed in a little house with Brook's parents and some friends of theirs. We grilled the fish on Saturday night and they were AWESOME!

Look at all those fish!

The Show is Over

Well, the play has finally come to an end. Our last performance was on Sunday afternoon. I had so much fun like I always do, and I'm sad like I always get when a play is finished. I can't wait to do another one. I'm sure Brook hopes it won't be for awhile, though. :) Here are some pics...

A few of the girls getting ready...

Our director, George Mann, putting makeup on our lovely leading lady, Amanda.

Brandon doing some last minute touch ups...

Me and Eric (he was my love interest in the show)

My dad, mom, Tara (my sis-in-law), and Ben Dye (for those who don't know, Ben is my brother, but I call him Ben Dye when referring to him)

Vito knew I needed a hug when I got home. I was very sad. I love that dog!!!
